ANNA!  •  Selected Works

ANNA! is an anonymous painter, collage artist and videographer known for her recent works inspired by New York City streets and abandoned underground spaces.

Her practice of conflating streetscapes with story tale celebrities—Alice in Wonderland, Marilyn Monroe, the Morton Salt Girl, Beavis and Butthead, Susan Walker Morse—pulls dark into light and vice versa, the essential duality in life and death.

Her works are haunting and joyful, complex and clear, philosophical and rational, exploring themes of uncharted territory and very well known people and places.

She told Jetset Times "Time is history unfolding, every day we are witnessing the future unfolding and the past ending."

Her work has been included in exhibitions at the Bowery Wall, 17 Frost Gallery, and Scrap Yard. Most recently, she had a one-person exhibition of her studio work, including NFTs, videos, and paintings at The Bank of New York Gallery.
